Nähe
Translation (from German): I am happy to approach people and get to know them. What often happens to me when someone gets too close to me, is that I become cruel and hurtful. With increasing intimacy, it becomes harder to express love, and it can quickly turn into the opposite. Thus, I expect something (love) from people, that I myself cannot give. This leads to disappointment.
Translation (from German): MHigh should get a dog. Or something. Or a cat if she would find that uglier. An pet as stupid, annoying, irritating=unlovable as possible. Then she can train herself, in caring also for something that doesn’t deserve her love.
“I love you anyway.”
SUBLIMATION
AND IF SHE THEN ONCE IN A WHILE GIVES THE STUPID CREATURE A KICK, THAT ISN’T SUCH A BIG DEAL.
And so she will slowly learn, that one doesn’t always have to be cute to find someone offering intimacy.
Handlungsunfähigkeit
Translation (from German): Never before was so much information freely accessible in the internet – with just a click I can inform myself about anything, and read up on the most abstract circumstances and on problems from the most diverse perspectives/studies/views. Despite this knowledge however, I cannot decide an any clear plans of action for myself. I know a lot about world hunger – but what can I actually do with all this knowledge to change something? How can the refugee crisis be solved in the everyday, with practical steps from oneself? What should I do to preserve cultural values? And above all: Why don’t I manage to make consequences follow from my knowledge?
